Unmixed Audio

How can we help?

Answers for Unmixed Audio on your Mac, iPhone and iPad.

What it runs on

A Mac with Apple silicon (M1 or newer) on macOS 26, an iPhone 15 Pro or newer on iOS 26, or an iPad with an M chip on iPadOS 26.

What you can add

Songs, videos and voice memos: MP3, M4A, WAV, AIFF, FLAC, MP4, MOV and more, up to an hour long on a Mac and half an hour on iPhone and iPad.

Click or tap Add a recording, or drop a file on the window on a Mac or iPad. On iPhone and iPad you can also pick a video from Photos, or share a file to the app from another app.

While it splits

The app listens first and picks Music or Voices & sounds for you. You can switch any recording later, or choose one for every new recording in Settings.

How long a split takes depends on the recording and your device. On iPhone it pauses when you leave the app and goes on where it left off when you’re back; on iPad it can go on in the background. Cancel stops it.

Listening and mixing

Click or tap a sound’s icon to turn it off or on, or its headphones to hear only that sound. Drag its fader to make it louder or softer, and drag across the times above the picture to repeat a part. On a Mac: Space plays, ← and → skip 10 seconds, 1 to 9 turn sounds off or on.

Downloading

Download gives you what you hear as a WAV file. The arrow beside it has the other ways: a video with your mix as its sound, or every sound on its own, a WAV for each, in a folder. On a Mac it goes into your Downloads; on iPhone and iPad the share sheet lets you save it to Files or send it on.

Your purchase

Five mixes are free on each device. Then Unmixed Audio is $24 once, in your own money where you live, for every Mac, iPhone and iPad with your Apple Account, with every update included.

Bought it on another device, or installed it again? Tap Restore purchase in Settings or on the buy screen.

Privacy
